Only Word was on PC before installing Office Configuration of Registry Keys was completed successfully. Configuration of attachment engines was completed successfully.

Event audit settings are restored. Then my log ends. There's no error or return code or value in the entire log. Uninstall any previous office suites installed on the machine by running the Fix it in the KB article mentioned below and then reinstall Office in clean boot and check if that resolves the issue:. After you have finished troubleshooting in clean boot, ensure you restart the computer in normal mode.

  I get this periodically, I just use the phone activation when I get any office install errors it's faster than trying to troubleshoot the problem. If so it might be worth scrubbing the registry to make sure there aren't any traces of it getting in the way of your new installation.
